
Since the creation for Food Cost Solutions last year, I have been asked by a few chefs/owners "how does the business work?"
I now have a working example which I have been involved in since March this year.
The Riv Bar and Bistro at the Riverview in Murwillumbah has been successfully able to make profit since reopening in april.
There have been good weeks with the odd few quiet one's too.
For a new business without any history, its a wise idea to record this information along with the basics, such as
Weather
Local Events
QLD/NSW School and Public holidays
Daylight savings
As this bistro is directly related to the exhisting successful Riverview Hotel (Only pub in Murwillumbah on the Tweed river) Owners John and Laurie's vision is to be able to deliver good quality meals at reasonable prices, and thats whats happening.
